Default Black pulverisation rifle conversion to pistol

Ok, so I take washed some reading, and from what I tin can tell, it is perfectly legal to take a blackness powder burglarize and cut the barrel downward (or go out the barrel alone), cut the stock down (or get out the stock on) and turn this rifle into a unmarried-shot blackness powder pistol. I have visited the ATF website, combed through the NFA, and Federal Firearms Regulations Reference Guide looking for clauses and the like concerning my interest, merely at the same time, wanted to ask others. If anyone hither has done this, or knows annihilation near the legality of doing this, please, enlighten me.

The road to success is e'er under construction.

It is legal to practice because a blackpowder gun is non a firearm nether the NFA or GCA.

It is likewise legal to have a blackpowder rifle and plough information technology into a mod pistol that shoots cartridge ammo. Once again, the BP long gun isn't a NFA or GCA "firearm". However you must remove the stock first before irresolute the activity/chambering of the gun into a Title I firearm pistol if the barrel length is under 16" and overall length would exist under 26"(unless you get a SBR NFA stamp outset).

It is besides legal to take a blackpowder rifle and turn it into a modernistic pistol that shoots cartridge ammo. Again, the BP long gun isn't a NFA or GCA "firearm". Couldn't that be considered a "weapon fabricated from a rifle" by the ATF?

Sure, it wasn't considered a "firearm" but could it be considered a "burglarize," while it was however a BP gun?

Once the gun is built into a modern firearm, then the shoulder stock rule applies.

A young man over at Graybeardoutdoors has a confirmation letter from the ATF on that matter. Give me a few days to dig up his mail over there.
